This is my paradox: I hate hip-hop music with almost as much passion as I love hip-hop music. Does that make sense? For all that is great and wonderful and inspiring about this music and the culture surrounding it, there is something base and awful and just plain ignorant to counter it. Maybe that's good; Eastern philosophy tells us that things are supposed to be balanced. I don't know, man... I think we can find a way to keep our "street cred", and be the "ghetto CNN", and at the same time write a rhyme about something other than our car or our jewels, or how many bitches we're pimpin'.
That's pretty much what murderation is all about - it's me pointing out all the jackassery in hip-hop. Maybe it'll help me be more comfortable with the paradox.

I wish I could understand what you are saying, anonymous. Thanks for stopping by, though.
