"Stop Snitchin'": Foxy Brown Edition

So in an apparent effort to maintain street cred, Foxy Brown and her team are downplaying the beat-down/robbery episode she experienced in Pink House projects a week or so ago, and have refused to cooperate with the authorities in the matter. Roshawn Anthony, the accused attacker, was allowed to go free as a result.

Does this mean that Ms. Anthony will now have bragging rights in the hood? Or will she face retribution via that special brand of justice that is dispensed in the streets? Only time will tell.

T.I. & T.I.P. vs Luda's Manager

Really? It's like that? At a empower-the-youth-themed luncheon for power brokers, T.I./T.I.P. got into a scuffle with Chaka Khan, Ludacris' manager. My favorite part of this article is the commentary down below.

Ghostface

The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is over, and it was fantastic. First of all, nobody got shot, which is one of my main criteria for what I consider a successful hip-hop concert. Aside from that, one great act followed another, including Kids in the Hall, Large Professor, Skillz, Consequence (who kind of got shitted on with a shortened set), Sean Price and Boot Camp, and the headliner, Ghostface. Many surprise guests such as PMD, Smif n' Wessun, and Fat Joe came out and did their thing.

Back in the Saddle

To my faithful Murderation fans (I think that means you, Vic):

I'm back. After a long hiatus, I'm going to start posting with some regularity. It seems that the world of hip-hop is getting interesting again. Let's take a look at some of the recent events that have piqued my interest lately:

Finally, the Brooklyn Hip-hop Festival's main event kicks off today - and the Murderator will be in the house. It should be good, with live performances by Large Professor, Consequence, Sean Price (one of my favorites), and headliner Ghostface. Maybe I'll even do some mobile blogging live from the scene (thanks to my new - and overpriced - unlimited data plan).

Anyway, thanks for remaining faithful; I promise not to neglect you for so long in the future.
